Differences in Editions

Postby jkryznowski on Sat May 28, 2011 7:10 pm

Today while leafing through my London Limited Editions copy of A Maggot, I noticed that the Prologue section goes on significantly longer than in my Back Bay Books copy. Having just noticed this, I have not had an opportunity to closely inspect for other differences, but I was wondering if anyone had any information on this discrepancy between editions. Did Fowles revise/edit the novel for US publication? Was this a decision made by the publisher? Are there other differences between the US and UK editions?

Any information or any suggestions as to whom I might contact for more information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
